These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") govern your use of the Bhagavad Gita - Divyora app (package com.krishna.BhagwatGita, the "App", "we", "us" or "our").

By downloading or using the App, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the App.

1. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to use the App. If you are under the age of majority where you live, you may use the App only with the permission of a parent or guardian, who agrees to these Terms for you.

2. The App and its content

The App provides verses, translations, commentary, audio, stories, kathas, topics, guided journeys, reels and related material on the Bhagavad Gita, in several languages.

The content is offered for spiritual, educational and personal reflection purposes only. It is not medical, psychological, legal, financial or other professional advice. Please consult a qualified professional for such matters.

We try to keep translations and content accurate, but we do not guarantee that all content is complete, error-free or always available. We may add, change or remove content and features at any time.

3. Your account

The App creates an account for you automatically, linked to a random identifier on your device. You are responsible for activity on your device.

You can delete your account and its data at any time from Settings → Delete account. Deletion is permanent. Deleting your account does not cancel an active Google Play subscription; see section 5.

4. Your content

You may save a profile name and avatar, notes, highlights, reflections and feedback ("Your Content"). You keep ownership of Your Content. You give us a limited licence to store and process it only to operate the App for you.

You agree not to submit anything unlawful, abusive, hateful, obscene or that infringes anyone else's rights.

5. Premium subscriptions

  • Some content and features, such as certain chapters, journey days and an ad-free experience, require a Premium subscription.
  • Subscriptions are purchased and billed through Google Play using your Google account. Prices and plan lengths are shown in the App before you buy and may vary by country.
  • Auto-renewal: subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each period unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the renewal date.
  • Free trials: if a free trial is offered, it converts to a paid subscription when it ends unless you cancel before then.
  • Cancelling: manage or cancel in the Google Play Store under Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions, or from Settings → Manage subscription in the App. Cancelling stops future renewals; you keep Premium until the current period ends.
  • Refunds: refunds are handled by Google Play under its refund policies, except where local law requires otherwise.
  • We may change subscription prices. Google Play will notify you before a price change applies to your subscription.

6. Advertisements and rewarded content

The free version of the App shows ads provided by Google AdMob. Some locked content can be unlocked for a limited time by watching a rewarded ad. Rewards have no cash value, cannot be transferred, and may expire.

We are not responsible for the content of third-party ads or for any products or services they promote.

7. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • copy, redistribute, sell or publish the App's content outside the sharing features we provide, except as allowed by law;
  • reverse engineer, decompile, modify or bypass any security, subscription or ad feature of the App;
  • use bots, scrapers or automated tools to access the App or its servers;
  • interfere with or overload the App, its servers or networks;
  • use the App for any unlawful purpose.

We may suspend or end your access if you break these Terms.

8. Intellectual property

The original Sanskrit text of the Bhagavad Gita is in the public domain. The App's translations, commentary, audio recordings, artwork, videos, design, code, name and logos are owned by us or our licensors and are protected by copyright and other laws.

We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to use the App on devices you own or control, for personal, non-commercial use.

Sharing a verse card, text or reel through the App's share feature is allowed for personal, non-commercial purposes.

9. Third-party services

The App relies on third-party services, including Google Play, Google AdMob and Firebase. Your use of them is also subject to their terms. We are not responsible for third-party services or for content you reach through links outside the App.

10. Disclaimer

The App and all content are provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy and non-infringement. We do not guarantee that the App will be uninterrupted, secure or free of errors.

11. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, profits or goodwill, arising from your use of the App. Our total liability for any claim will not exceed the amount you paid us for the App in the 12 months before the claim.

Nothing in these Terms limits rights you have under consumer protection laws that cannot be excluded.

12. Indemnity

You agree to indemnify and hold us harmless from claims, losses and expenses arising from your breach of these Terms or misuse of the App.

13. Termination

You may stop using the App at any time by uninstalling it and, if you wish, deleting your account. We may suspend or discontinue the App, or your access, at any time. Sections that by their nature should survive termination will survive.

14. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Any disputes will be subject to the jurisdiction of the courts of India, unless the law of your country of residence requires otherwise.

15. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Changes are posted on this page with a new "Last updated" date. Continued use of the App after changes means you accept the updated Terms.
